In keeping with our St. Malachi tradition, there is no Coffee Hour on March 20, 2016, Palm Sunday after either Mass. The church will be open for Eucharistic adoration between masses. Fr. Tony and Fr. Jim O’Donnell will be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession).
A Tenebrae Service of Shadows & Light will be held Monday of Holy Week, Monday, March 21, 2106 at 7:00PM at St. Barbara Church for all the parishes of our Central West District. Parking is available in the church lot and at the school across the street.
Tenebrae is a Holy Week devotion which dates back to the 7th or 8th century and is characterized by scripture, hymns and the successive extinguishing of candles as the service progresses. This beautiful prayer has become a long standing collaboration of our Central West parishes.
On Saturday, March 19, 2016, men of St. Malachi, St. Patrick and St. Wendelin are invited to attend a webcast & discussion: Fr. Richard Rohr: Authentic Transformation, A deepening of our Journey with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

On Tuesday, March 15, Judy Hilow, the new Executive Director of Malachi House, is our Everyday Prophet. Meet in the school hall immediately after Noon Mass (about 12:30PM).
Everyday Prophets is a lunchtime program to celebrate the work & dedication of those in our community who serve others. Speakers also share stories of their life’s journey. Bring a lunch (beverage & dessert are provided) and enjoy the stories, fellowship, and inspiration shared.

Sr. Rita Mary Harwood SND developed the LEAF (Listening, Encouraging and Assisting Families) program to provide a place for families with an incarcerated family member to share their worries & troubles with other families in the same straits.
St. Malachi is forming a monthly listening group to welcome families for an evening of sharing & listening. We will provide light refreshments, babysitting, an open forum for their sharing experiences & a guide to agencies which can help.
