“Well done, good and faithful servant!” St. Malachi offers our prayers and condolences to Mary Jane Treichel’s family. Mary Jane Treichel served as a Pastoral Minister at St. Malachi and at St. Patrick (Bridge) for many years. She prepared reflection books for each Advent & Christmas, Lent & Easter seasons for many years. Even in retirement, she wrote Companions on the Journey for homebound parishioners.
Mary Jane was a certified Lay Ecclesial Minister in the Diocese of Cleveland and was among the first women to teach at St. Ignatius High School. She also was a school guidance counselor and spiritual director. She served on the Agenda Committee of the Central West District, the Malachi Center Board and most organizations she was part of. May she rest in peace.
After serving the St. Patrick Church (Bridge) community as pastor and the Near West Side neighborhood for 37 years, Fr. Mark DiNardo has retired. He is living at Regina Health Center in Richfield with Bishop Lennon and other retired priests. There will be a formal celebration for Fr. Mark with the St. Patrick and Near West Side community at a later date. May God give him the reward of his faithful service & abundant blessings!
Fr. John Manning is serving as parish administrator.
