Monday Night Meal has been feeding the poor at St. Malachi every Monday for more than 40 years
Monday Night Meal is back! Want to help? Please consider volunteering or donating to our Food Fund!
The mission of this ministry is to provide for the needs of the poor including nutrition and other hungers, such as the need for human care and concern. This ministry provides a hot meal on every Monday of the year.
Guests are invited into the hall for a hearty sit-down dinner. Doors open at 5:00PM. Dinner is served until 6:15 PM following prayer and announcements.
Prior to the day, main-dish cooks and salad/fruit purchasers are needed on a once-a-month rotation. A volunteer weekly coordinator will contact the cooks and purchasers for specifics. In addition, volunteers are needed to pick up donated desserts. See discussion below for additional information.
On Monday afternoon/evening, volunteers are needed for all shifts and assignments—set-up, salad prep, food warming, welcoming guests, serving, and clean-up starting at 3:00 pm and concluding before 7:00 pm.
Please contact Mike Pellegrino (216-214-2878) or Henry Speier (216-406-2035) or MNM@StMalachi.org to volunteer for one of these assignments.
