When Paul arrived in Jerusalem, the disciples were afraid of him, because they did not believe that he was a disciple. It took Barnabas to introduce him to the community vouching for Paul’s sincerity before the other disciples could trust him. As disciples we can build trust with each other helping to grow and bear fruit. We can help each other stay attached to Jesus, the vine, so that the sap of grace can flow freely to every part of the vine. That sap can help us to grow in patience, kindness, humility and love.
