Dear Friends and Parishioners of Saint Malachi,
As you will hear at the conclusion of each Mass this weekend, we have some exciting news to share about the St. Malachi-St. Patrick Collaboration and the next phase we are about to enter. We will certainly be busy over the next several months!
Essential to this collaboration initiative is YOU! There is no other way to put it. Your participation as a member of a working group or by participating in our town hall meetings is critical to the process. We need EVERYONE to participate at some level.
Of course, everyone has questions and anxieties about – as well as hopes and dreams for – this process and how it will work and what may change. This is why it’s important that we have as many parishioners from both communities join us in St. Malachi’s Hall on Wednesday, February 21, beginning with 5:30PM Mass* and a light supper to immediately follow. We’ll get the presentation started by 6:30PM. The hope of our Collaboration Steering Committee is that the message is clear and that parishioners will feel called to participate. Be sure to read the insert in today’s bulletin.
I personally thank the membership of our Collaboration Committee and other parish leaders for their hard work in providing direction for this process.
Sincerely yours in Christ Our Light,
Fr. Gurnick
*The 5:30pm weeknight Mass at St. Pat’s will be cancelled.
