The mission of this ministry is to provide for the needs of the poor including nutrition and other hungers, such as the need for human care and concern.
This ministry provides a hot meal on every Monday of the year, regardless of what day it is, Christmas, New Year’s, Labor Day, etc. Volunteer cooks use a standard menu to prepare the meat and vegetables/fruit which is delivered to the kitchen prior to serving and reheated for serving. The additional side dishes are prepared by the cooks in the kitchen.
A meal is served from approximately 5:45-6:30 p.m. Volunteers are asked to come between 5:00-5:30 p.m. and remain until cleanup is finished, at approximately 7:15 p.m.
Volunteer cooks: Here is our current meal schedule and recipes:
Check with Pat Dowd (email below) if this meal schedule is not current!
