It’s almost Back to School Time, and the Social Action Commission of St. Malachi Parish needs your help to fill backpacks with school supplies for the children of Malachi Center for the new school year. Select a tag from the display in the front of the church to find out which supplies are most needed.
Purchase one or more of the supplies listed on the tag and bring the supplies back to church by Sunday, July 28th. All are encouraged to participate. Please contact Andrea Craggett (216) 771-3036 or email andrea@malachicenter.org for more information.
Malachi Center offers Summer Camp Monday – Thursday, June 25, 2018 – August 3, 2018. They need nutritious snacks; any contributions are much appreciated.
Please NO snacks containing peanuts: we have a child with a peanut allergy!!
Suggested snacks: Chips, Doritos, Goldfish Crackers/Cheese Nips and Pretzels (small individual bags), Cheese Sticks, 8 oz. Bottled Water, Juice Boxes/Pouches, Cookies, Fruit Snacks, Pudding/ Applesauce (individual cups or pouches).
Bring donations to the Center Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or place them in the snack box at the St. Malachy shrine. Thank you for your kindness and generosity! Contact Andrea at andrea@malachicenter.org.
On March 22, 2018 from 6:00-10:00 PM enjoy a night of fun as you sample delicious soups and sliders prepared by Cleveland’s top chefs with celebrity host Joan Rosenthal of Marigold Catering!
New location this year: TENK West Bank, right around the corner from St. Malachi Parish at 2111 Center Street. This year we will also be celebrating the 2018 Sister Michael Marie Griffin Anchor Award recipients: Vince and Margaret Schroeder Hvizda.
All proceeds help Malachi Center to continue to provide life changing services to children, families, and the homeless. Tickets are $95 per person and can be purchased by calling 216-771-3036 or at malachicenter.org.
Soup for the Soul will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at The Renaissance Cleveland, 24 Public Square from 6:00-10:00 PM. Complementary valet parking is provided. Enjoy samples of both soup and sandwiches from more than 20 different local restaurants and chefs, including Butcher & Brewer, bac & Ninja City, Town Hall, Momocho, SOHO, Chicken & Whiskey, and many more.
This year’s Sister Michael Marie Griffin Anchor Award winner is Monica Thomas. Sample as many soups and sandwiches as you wish and enjoy your favorites! Local celebrity servers, auctions, raffles and delicious appetizers and desserts make Soup for the Soul an event not to be missed!

The day includes a buffet lunch, golf (scramble format), dinner catered by Sokolowski’s University Inn, raffles & games. All proceeds support Malachi Center’s programs for children & families.
