“All the baptized, whatever their position in the Church or their level of instruction in the faith, are agents of evangelization, and it would be insufficient to envision a plan of evangelization to be carried out by professionals while the rest of the faithful would be simply passive recipients.” –from the new Directory of Catechesis (DFC) #288. This paragraph, from the 2020 DFC, reminds us of our basic call by Jesus to live as missionary disciples within the realities of our daily lives. Plan to join in person at St Pat’s on four Wednesdays in Lent—Mass at 5:30 PM and talk at 6:00 PM—or via livestream as we enter Lenten practice by turning and responding ever more deeply to Jesus’ summons.
