In this time when Mass is not available in our churches due to COVID-19, there are many online Masses available. These include both recorded as well as live streamed Masses.

During these times when we cannot receive Holy Communion, we can say the Prayer of Spiritual Communion. The practice of praying for Spiritual Communion is recommended by Pope Francis during this time of COVID-19, and has been used by Catholics and other Christians in times of persecution, during earlier plagues, and other times when the faithful have been unable to receive Holy Communion. You may say it when participating in an on-line Mass, and other times during the day. The prayer:
An Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus,
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
