PROGRAMS FOR RECOVERY
SAMARITAN MINISTRY:
Samaritan Ministry is a four session program of education on alcoholism and substance abuse designed to help persons in
recovery, family members, s. and helping
professionals develop a deeper understanding of alcoholism and
substance abuse and its effects on an individual's life and the lives of family members. Topics include an overview of alcoholism and substance abuse, medical aspects, substance abuse and personality development, family issues, substance abuse and the adult child, the twelve steps, treatment, and recovery. Participants are encouraged to make themselves available as resource persons in their local
parish or community. The Samaritan Ministry program is free of
charge. Sessions are generally held each fall BRCH's and CEU's
are made available to qualified participants.
TWELVE STEP MEETINGS:
St. Malachi hosts a number of Twelve-Step meetings during the week.
The identity of the group, day and time are as follows:
Narcotics Anonymous (NA)
Mondays, 8: 30 PM in the hall
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)
Beginner's Meeting: Thursdays, 7:30 PM in the hall
Angle Group: Thursday, 9 PM in the hall
Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACA)
Road Ahead: Saturdays, 7:30 PM in the hall
