RETIREMENT FUND FOR RELIGIOUS APPEAL
Today is the annual appeal for the Retirement Fund for Religious.
This fund supports women and men from religious communities who have served God's people in ministry, are now retired, and whose communities lack the funds they need to provide for them in their

ADVENT SOCIAL ACTION COLLECTION
Social Action invites the Parish & Community to join in a Christmas giving effort to support the men's clothing ministry &
St. Malachi Center. The Christmas creche has paper tags with a clothing item on it. Take a tag & purchase the item. Wrap the gift & fix the tag to the top of the gift. Return the gift to the creche by Sunday, December 23; gifts will be distributed on December 24. You can take 2 or more tags if you want to make this a family Christmas project. For questions, call Joan Daly (440) 333-1755.
ADVENT FAMILY CELEBRATION
The Christian Formation classes are sponsoring an evening of prayer, song & community
on Sunday, December 16, from 7-9 p.m. at Lakewood Women's Pavilion, Lakewood Park. Come share a moment of peace in this hectic season. Dress for the weather, as there will be a procession in the park. All ages encouraged to attend. Refreshments provided. For information call: Diane Brinich at (216) 521-1360 or Karen Duffy at (216) 346-0784.
CHURCH DECORATING
We will be decorating the church for Christmas on Sunday, December 16 & December 23 after 12:30 Mass.
Help is needed & would be greatly appreciated to assist putting up lights, wreaths & poinsettias for the Christmas season. The more folks we have, the sooner we can leave for our many other holiday traditions & celebrations. Small GOLD ornament (paper, plastic, glittered, handmade) will be placed on our smaller trees. Make or bring a ready-made GOLD ornament to add to the tree. The wreaths on the church pillars are again being decorated by Christian Formation &
St. Malachi Center students.
SOAR LIKE AN EAGLE ADVENT BOOKLET
Daily Prayers and Reflections for Advent/Christmas 2007-2008 booklets
are available at the doors of the church. Please take one home this advent season; feel free to take an extra one to share.

John wore clothing made of camel's hair and had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey. At that time Jerusalem, all Judea, and the whole region around the Jordan were going out to him and were being baptized by him in the Jordan River as they acknowledged their sins. - Mt 3:4-6
