Deacon Ordination
On Sunday, November 4 at 7:30 pm, Ed Suszynski, who served his pastoral internship at St. Malachi two years ago, and his classmates will be ordained a deacon by Bishop Lennon at St. John Cathedral. Everyone is invited to attend.
Deacon Ed Suszynski will be at the 9:30 AM Mass on Sunday, November 11, to assist as a deacon and preach.

ALL SAINTS' DAY
This Thursday, November 1, is the Feast of All Saints, a Holy Day of obligation. We remember and celebrate all God's holy people, canonized and
uncanonized, known to us and known to God alone. The Vigil Mass on Wednesday, All Hallows Eve (Halloween), is at 5:30 PM. Masses on Thursday are at 7 AM and Noon. (St. Patrick, Bridge, has an evening Mass at 5:30 PM both days. Note: there is no Noon Mass this Wednesday.
ALL SOULS' DAY MASS OF REMEMBRANCE
This Friday, November 2, is All Souls' Day; we pray for all the faithful departed. The Annual “Mass of Remembrance,” at which we especially commemorate those who have died from St. Malachi this past year is Sunday, November 11, 12:30 PM. All are welcome to pray for our beloved dead.
ANNUAL MASS OF REMEMBRANCE

BEING THE PEOPLE OF GOD DISCUSSION
Being the People of God is a speaker series about ministry and answering the Baptismal call.
There will be discussion at Coffee Hour after 9:30 AM & 11:00 AM Masses today about the information we receive, how it applies to us, and what we can do.

CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS CHOIR
The Children's Choir for Christmas 2007 will begin practice this Friday, November 2, at 5 PM in church. This year's activities include leading music at the Christmas Eve 4:30 Vigil Mass and a play for our annual Epiphany Festival. All children from ages 7-13 are invited to come! Captain Padriac Ryan Finnerty, son of Daniel and Cindi Condol, has been awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious and distinguished service in Iraq. The Bronze Star is the fourth highest Military award given in the United States.

The Sisters of Norte Dame have a Prayer Line Ministry. They dedicate time each day to receive calls and pray for your intentions. The Sisters will receive your calls from 10 AM-4 PM on Monday-Friday. During weekends and holidays you may leave your requests on their answering service. These requests will also be remembered in prayer. ANNUAL “WARM HEARTS WINTER NIGHTS” GALA
In celebration of its 30th Anniversary, the West Side Catholic Center (WSCC) will hold its
11th annual benefit at The Hyatt Regency Hotel in the Old Arcade downtown on Friday, November 3.
The event begins with Mass at the Cathedral at 4:30 PM, followed by
the benefit at 6 PM. Proceeds from
the event will benefit the Women and Children's Shelter. Highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the annual “Sister Kathleen Kilbane, CSJ, Walk In Faith” award presented to those who “advance & support the mission of the

Center's Soup for the Soul 2008 (set for Thursday March 13th). It is truly a FUNraiser as friendships are built and sustained over time while helping to provide funding for
St. Malachi Center
programs. St. Malachi ministries empower the individual with
programs like Showers for the Homeless; nurture the family with programs like
Partners for
Progress; and build the community with programs like After School Program (K-8th grade) and
Leadership Academy (high school). The next volunteer meeting for Soup for the Soul is Thursday November 1st at 6:30pm in St. Malachi
