CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY APPEAL
This weekend is the annual appeal for The Catholic University of America, our national Catholic university. Among the Catholic University graduates of our diocese are Fr. Paul Hritz & Fr. Mark DiNardo of St. Patrick. Rev. Mr. Jan Dolny, the seminarian from Slovakia who was with us in 2004 is currently studying theology at Catholic University. There is a second collection at all the Masses.

This Tuesday at 7 PM in the hall Conrad Gromada PhD. of Ursuline College will address Rediscovering Our Baptismal Ministry in a Time of Tremendous Transition to begin
Being the People of God, speaker series about ministry and answering the Baptismal call. Learn what ministry is in the Church, where it comes from, how it calls us, and what we can do. This coming Sunday, August 26, there will be guided discussions at the 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM coffee hours about the information we receive, how it applies to us, and what we can do. RCIA 
Do you know someone who is not Catholic but has expressed interest in the faith? Do you know someone who was baptized Catholic but never raised in the church? Do you know someone who is searching spiritually, but has no church home? The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a journey of faith for adults interested in the Catholic Faith. VOICE MINISTRIES FOR YOUNG ADULT CATHOLICS
Voice Ministries - a call to young adults will have their regularly scheduled events (7:03 PM Scripture study, 8:03 PM Mass, 9:03 PM Social) on Sunday, September 2 at the St. Joseph Christian Life Center for the last time before the Center closes on September 9th. CHILDREN OF ALCOHOLICS PRESENTATION
Free presentation at the community forum for children of alcoholics who want to learn more about how that experience has affected them personally. This event will be held on Tuesday, September 11, from 7-8:30 PM at Lutheran Hospital in the auditorium. This presentation will target older teen and adult children of alcoholics as will as those in caregiver roles such as parents, teachers, counselors, pastors or friends who want to be helpful.

Sisters of Notre Dame Prayer Line
The Sisters of Norte Dame have a Prayer Line Ministry. They dedicate time each day to receive calls and pray for your intentions. The Sisters will receive your calls from 10 AM-4 PM on Monday-Friday. During weekends and holidays you may leave your requests on their answering service. These requests will also be remembered in prayer. The sisters in Assisted Living look forward to praying for your needs and requests.

PILGRIMAGE OPPORTUNITIES
The Seminary Vocation Office will be offering pilgrimages to holy shrines and fascinating destinations throughout the world. Our first pilgrimage, in October 2007, will take us to the shrines of Greece and Turkey. Proceeds raised from this and other pilgrimage opportunities will go toward Borromeo Seminary's

FREE CONCERT - LABOR DAY WEEKEND!
St. Martin of Tours Parish, 1800 Station Rd., Valley City, 44280, will present their third annual outdoor “Praise in the Valley Music Festival ” on Saturday, September, 1 at 6 pm. (following the 5 pm Vigil Mass). There will be numerous religious music groups performing, rain or shine. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
