WELCOME BISHOP LENNON!
This Saturday, St. Malachi Parish welcomes Bishop Richard G. Lennon to St. Malachi for the first time. It is a great joy to celebrate Mass with our Bishop. May it be for us an experience of communio, being united as the body of Christ in our local church. May God continue to bless Bishop Lennon and his ministry in our local Church of Cleveland. |
ASSUMPTION OF BLESSED
VIRGIN MARY
This Wednesday is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary into heaven. Catholics believe that at the end of her earthly life, Mary was taken directly up into heaven, body and soul. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches "The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin is a singular participation in her Son's Resurrection and an anticipation of the resurrection of other Christians." The Feast of the Assumption is a Holy Day; there is an obligation to attend Mass. Our Vigil Mass on Tuesday is 5:30 PM; our Wednesday Holy Day Masses are 7 AM & 12 Noon. St. Patrick (Bridge) also has Mass at 5:30 PM on both Tuesday & Wednesday. Note: there is no Noon Mass on Tuesday at St. Malachi.

“Be sure of this: if the master of the house had known
the hour when the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be prepared, for at
an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.”
