We will be working during the coming year with the representatives from St. Patrick and St. Wendelin to plan for the future of the Church's ministry and pastoral care for the people we serve and the people of the Near West Side. We will provide regular updates as the process goes forward; if you have any questions or concerns, please contact Fr. Tony or any member of the Cluster Planning Team. Please keep the members of the Cluster Planning Team and the cluster process in your prayers.

CHARTER SCHOOL AT ST. MALACHI
Since last fall, St. Malachi has been considering the possibility of renting our school building for use by a new charter school, Lakeside College Preparatory Academy. A two-year lease was negotiated with assistance of the Diocesan Legal Office, approved by the St. Malachi Parish Council & Finance Council and the Community of St. Malachi Council & Finance Council. This past week, Bishop Lennon signed the lease agreement. The school will serve children from Kindergarten through Grade 4 beginning this fall. The school will pay a monthly rent, a portion of the utility bills and other expenses. St. Malachi will be able to continue to use the building for Coffee Hour, Christian Formation classes, & other scheduled activities & meetings which do not conflict with the school.

SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
The Spiritual Development Committee's monthly meeting is Tuesday, July 17, from 6 - 8 PM in the school library. We will be working on the prayer groups, retreats, and the lay ministry program. All are invited!
