SPEAKING FOR PEACE-PART TWO 
On May 9, at 7 PM, there will be a presentation in the hall “Understanding the Middle East: Culture, Religion, History” by Julia Sheatson, Director, CAIR Ohio Chapter (Council on American - Islamic Relation) and Jeffery Kassouf, Director, AACCESS Ohio (Arab American Community Center). Presented by The Community of St. Malachi Social Action Committee.

God is LOVEFAITH AND SHARING RETREAT
The annual Faith and Sharing Retreat, “The Healing Power of Love” led by Fr. Bernard Menard OMI is June 21 - 24 at the St. Joseph Christian Life Center. The cost is $160 for adults, $125 for children, which includes all meals, snacks, & lodging. Some scholarships are available. SOCIAL ACTION FAIR
The Community of St. Malachi is hosting a Social Action Fair on Sunday, May 20. A number of Near West Side organizations have been invited to have a table at coffee hour, following the 9:30 AM, 11:00 A.M. and 12:30 PM Masses. The Social Action Committee would appreciate any assistance from Parish members with set-up, refreshments or cleanup for this event. If you can help out, please call Helen Misener at (440) 427-8023. This promises to be a wonderful opportunity for members of both the Parish and the Community of St. Malachi to learn about these organizations. Any assistance at this event will be greatly appreciated.

PARISH COUNCIL OPENINGS
Parish Council represents the people of St. Malachi; it is the most important consultative group in the parish. This coming year, as clustering begins, Parish Council will be even more important. 61ST ANNUAL A.A. MEMORIAL MASS, BREAKFAST
The Annual Mass in memory of deceased members of A.A. and their families will be held Sunday, May 27 at 8 AM at St. Malachi Church. SISTERS OF NORTE DAME PRAYER LINE
The Sisters of Norte Dame have a Prayer Line Ministry. They dedicate time each day to receive calls and pray for your intentions. The Sisters will receive your calls from 10 AM-4 PM on Monday-Friday. During weekends and holidays you may leave your requests on their answering service. These requests will also be remembered in prayer. The sisters in Assisted Living look forward to praying for your needs and requests.

The Ohio Boychoir continues its tradition of offering high quality musical presentations that have been the hallmark of the Boychoir since its founding in 1974. ATTENTION TEENAGERS 14 AND UP...

MARY IN ART
On Sunday, 20 May, Sheila Flynn will direct Mary in Art from 1- 5 pm. Meditating on Mary through her image in art will help us be touched by her with our senses and imagination. We will look at the phenomenon of pilgrimages in her honor as well as travel with ancient icons through the classical period to modern images of our model of faith.
