2007 CATHOLIC CHARITIES PARISH APPEAL
The 2007 Catholic Charities appeal continues this week. If you have already made a gift, thank you for your generosity! If you were not able to make a gift last weekend, please do so this weekend. Every donation affects lives-lives of children, adults and our older generation living right here in our diocese. Catholic Charities began 96 years ago to meet the needs of people right here in our area, offering food, shelter, guidance and support to those less fortunate. Many of them were immigrants whose legacy is God's Church here in northeast Ohio. The needs of the past are still with us, and in many areas, those needs are growing. Today, our Diocesan Catholic Charities serves over 300,000 people each year and provides 143 different service programs. Government funding alone cannot provide all the services. You can effectively help us help your neighbors in need. Catholic Charities pledge envelopes are available at the church doors. Pledges can be paid in monthly or quarterly installments, and you can direct your pledge to an area of service you choose. See the envelope for details. Please be generous. For more information, contact our diocesan office at 1-800 869-6525 ext. 1910 or
www.clevelandcatholiccharities.org. |
