BLACK & NATIVE AMERICAN COLLECTION
This weekend is the annual appeal for the Black and Native American Missions in the United
States. Funds are needed to continue present evangelization programs & even more, to continue assistance to parishes devastated by hurricanes to rebuild their programs. Many places lost everything; even 500 days later, much has yet to be rebuilt, ministries & evangelization programs restarted. There is a second collection at all Masses.

Filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the desert for forty days, to be tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and when they were over he was hungry. - Lk 4:1-2
