Today is the annual appeal for the Retirement Fund for Religious. This fund supports religious women and men from communities who have served God's people in ministry, are now retired, and whose communities lack the funds they need to provide for them in their retirement. COMMUNAL PENANCE SERVICE TODAY
There is a Communal Penance Service today, Sunday, at 2 PM at St. Wendelin Church, Columbus. The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is also celebrated at St. Malachi Church every Saturday from 3-4:00 p.m. and on Sunday mornings from 8:45-9:00 a.m.
CHRISTIAN FORMATION ADVENT CELEBRATION
Christian Formation has a Family Advent Celebration, this Sunday, December 10, from 7-9 p.m., at Lakewood Park Women's Pavilion (Lake Rd.) Come for an evening of prayer, song, & community. VIBRANT PARISH LIFE UPDATE ON CLUSTERING
Bishop Richard Lennon has notified us that he needs more time “to reflect on the recommendations from the parishes and the various committees that have reviewed these recommendations. Thus, I write ...to inform you that I will be communicating with all the parishes regarding their cluster assignments early in February 2007.”

Center needs new or “like new” gift items for mothers, fathers, teens, children & toddlers for the annual Christmas Boutique on Monday, December 18. The children “shop” at no cost. LAS POSADAS
Many years ago, St. Malachi
Center adapted the Mexican Christmas tradition of
Las Posadas, the remembrance of the Holy Family's
search for a room at an inn. The celebration includes
active involvement in procession, prayer, song, and
meal by St. Malachi volunteers and
Center
participants. The festivity takes place on the St.
Malachi grounds. After the procession there is a light
meal. This year the event is Saturday, December 16 from
5 to 8 pm. There is a sign up sheet at the 9:30 and
11:00 coffee hours or please call

CHRISTMAS DINNER

SISTERS OF NORTE DAME PRAYER LINE
The Sisters of Norte Dame have a Prayer Line Ministry. They dedicate time each day to receive calls and pray for your intentions. The Sisters will receive your calls from 10 AM-4 PM on Monday-Friday.
During weekends and holidays you may leave your requests on their answering service. These requests will also be remembered in prayer. The sisters in Assisted Living look forward to praying for you needs and requests.

With poverty in Northeast Ohio at an all time high level, now more than ever the
St. Vincent de Paul Society needs your help to keep its community-wide programs going. The

THE SPLENDOR OF CHRIST
