LABYRINTH
Learn about, be part of the blessing, and walk the Labyrinth (10/17 St. Malachi Church & parking lot 6:30pm-8:30pm) . Marla Loehr, CSJ Associate, Ph.D., CPM will be our guest that evening. She directs three- day Labyrinth retreats (and other retreats) at River's Edge on Rocky River Dr. Marla is a CSJ Associate and a certified spiritual director and private retreat director. She holds a Masters in Spirituality with recent updating in Theology. A $5 donation is appreciated but not required. 

SAVE YOUR EMPTY MILK CONTAINERS
The Spiritual Development Group is requesting empty milk containers. These containers will be used to make luminaries for outdoor prayer services. Drop off at the St. Malachi Center.

PRAYING WITH ST IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA” RETREAT
The “Praying with St. Ignatius of Loyola” retreat is in progress. Please keep Fr. Clem Metzger, the facilitators, and the other retreatants in your prayers!

ANNUAL MASS OF REMEMBRANCE
The annual Mass of Remembrance for those who have been buried from St. Malachi during the past year will be Sunday, November 5 at 12:30 p.m. Anyone who can help with serving a luncheon after this Mass for the families and friends of the remembered, please call Kay Vine (440-871-5868) or Charlene McElwee (216-781-3110). 

ANNUAL MALACHI HOUSE BENEFIT
The 19th Annual Malachi House Benefit, where “Smooth meets Jazz” will be Friday, Oct. 27, 6:30 PM-11 PM at Westwood Country Club 22625 Detroit Rd, Rocky River. The 4th Annual presentation of the “Fr. Paul Hritz Volunteer of the Year” Award will be made to Cathy Domann. Dance to the music of the Ernie Krivda Jazz Quartet; Silent Auction & jazz-inspired food & drinks will round out the evening. WHY A THINKING CATHOLIC REMAINS IN THE CHURCH
A lecture by Sr. Mary McCormick, OSU, will be given on Monday, October 23, from 6:30-8:30 PM at the Center for Pastoral Leadership, 28700 Euclid Ave. Wickliffe. Responses will be offered by Deborah Sesek, Kathleen Homyock, and Donna Kelly Rego. This lecture is part of a series entitled, The Graced Horizon: Where Faith and Church Meet and is co-sponsored by the office for Women in Church & Society and the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland Foundation. ONE WORLD DAYOne World Day
The parishes of the City of Cleveland have been invited to join with the Cleveland Cultural Gardens in Rockefeller Park to celebrate One World Day, this Sunday, October 1. Churches with bells or electronic carillons are encouraged to ring them for a few minutes at 3:15 PM on Sunday. It is at that time that the newest cultural garden, the India Garden, will be dedicated. The centerpiece of that garden will be a statue of Mahatma Gandhi, an icon of peace and non-violence. Since the motto of the cultural gardens is “peace through understanding,” such a representation is very appropriate.

SISTERS OF NORTE DAME PRAYER LINE
The Sisters of Norte Dame have a Prayer Line Ministry. They dedicate time each day to receive calls and pray for your intentions. The Sisters will receive your calls from 10 AM-4 PM on Monday-Friday. During weekends and holidays you may leave your requests on their answering service. These requests will also be remembered in prayer. The sisters in Assisted Living look forward to praying for you needs and requests.

SEEDS OF LITERACY
Seeds of Literacy provides basic education and G.E.D. preparation to the adult population in Cuyahoga County free of charge. In 1997, the Sisters of the Congregation of St. Joseph initiated the Seeds of literacy project. There are ten sites located throughout different neighborhoods in the Cleveland community. A WOMEN'S REFLECTION DAY
