SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR HURRICANE RELIEF
Help Rebuild Church, Rebuild Hope to support hurricane relief & rebuilding in the Archdiocese of New Orleans and Diocese of Biloxi.
This collection focuses on rebuilding churches, schools, & other essential parts of parishes which are needed to rebuild people's hope. Rebuilding churches & church structures is critically important now, as many civil jurisdictions declare that they can no longer assist those who were displaced by the 2005 hurricanes.

MALACHI HOUSE VOLUNTEERS: MAKING A DIFFERENCE
At Malachi House, we are fortunate to have people from all walks of life serve as volunteers: high school students doing a senior project; college students on internship and service projects; single people and married couples, homemakers with school-age children; professionals who come after a full day at the office; senior citizens, disabled people and mothers to be. In short, it is a wonderfully diverse group involved in a single ministry. Our volunteers are a very dedicated group of individuals. Some have a background in healthcare, but many do not.
What Volunteers Do: Malachi House Volunteers do the kinds of tasks they are comfortable doing. A volunteer can have as much or as little direct contact with residents as they choose & still contribute valuable & vital service to help the residents. Volunteers jobs & tasks include:
• Direct Resident Care
• Music and Entertainment
• Kitchen Help - Serving Food
• Cooking and Baking (At home or at Malachi House)
• Basic House Cleaning
• Phone Answering
• Writing Thank You Notes
• Home Repair and Maintenance
• Help With Sorting and Organizing Donated Supplies.
• Office Work
• Outside Clean-Up and Gardening
