REVERSE RAFFLE COMMITTEE
The next meeting for the Reverse Raffle Committee will be held on Monday, July 31 at 7 PM at St. Malachi Rectory. All are welcome to attend 

READING BUDDIES AND TEEN MENTORS
St. Malachi Center is in need of Reading Buddies and Teen Mentors for our school year programs. Reading Buddies spend one hour each week with one or two After School Program youth (kindergarten through third grade) working with the students on reading skills and other homework. The hours are tentatively 3:30-4:30 pm & 4:30 -5:30 pm Monday through Thursday. There are 3 opportunities to be a teen mentor. These programs are from 6-8pm tentatively Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday. The opportunities are in career exploration, leadership skills, and homework help. If you are looking for a way to respond to God's loving you in action and one or more of these opportunities fit your schedule, please call Lynn Scott at (216) 771-3036. 

NEEDS OF REFUGEES - CAN YOU HELP? 
This year, Catholic Charities Migration & Refugee Services will welcome & settle about 180 refugees in the Greater Cleveland community. Refugees come to Cleveland because of a well-founded fear for their lives; they cannot return home. Most have only the clothes on their backs. The resettlement office finds and furnishes apartments for incoming refugees. Household items will be picked up by the St. Vincent de Paul Society. For details, call Amanda Cannon: (216) 939 3708.
Items needed:

• Hygiene needs (toilet paper, shower liners & rings, soap, deodorant, shampoo, hair brushes, razors, skin lotion, toothbrushes/toothpaste, diapers, underwear, socks, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent)

• Bedroom needs (sheets for twin & queen size, pillows, comforters, alarm clocks)

• Kitchen supplies (deep pots & other pots, pans, cooking utensils, silverware, mixing bowls, water glasses, can openers, tea kettles)

WALK WITH JESUS: IN HIM WE BECOME HUMBLE, TRUE DISCIPLES
Encounter Christ's love and healing power at the 24th Annual Cleveland Charismatic Conference sponsored by Catholic Renewal Ministries, August 11 & 12th at Magnificat High School. Be inspired by international guest speakers Fr. Richard McAlear and Aggie Neck presenting the theme, “Walk Humbly with Your God”. Share in the celebration of Mass on Saturday with Bishop Quinn. Enjoy live contemporary Christian music, workshops, and fellowship with other participants. Times of adoration and intercessory healing prayer are planned, and there will be an opportunity to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation. Dear Sister Francis Borgia, On behalf of the participants in the SND Summer Service Experience, June 26-27, 2006 I would like to thank you, your staffs and clients at St. Malachi Church for the opportunity to share two special gifts with you, namely, God's Goodness and His Caring Love. As the students reflected on their various experiences with the persons they met these two days, they made mention of “Blessings Received.” Enclosed you will find a listing these many blessings that came into their young lives. Please extend our thanks to the many others involved in the good works you do and let them know of our continued prayer for them. We in turn appreciate their prayer for us.

    I know now that small things count.
    I have a better awareness of the present moment. God is always present.
