BACKDOOR MINISTRY NEEDS!!
St. Malachi Backdoor Ministry needs donations of men's white socks and cotton T-shirts of any color. Summer weight coats and jackets are needed also. Volunteers are needed, especially on weekdays, to serve sandwiches, doughnuts and coffee. Call Sr. Francis, 216-861-5343.
SOLEMN VESPERS WITH BISHOP LENNON
On Sunday, May 14, Solemn Vespers will be celebrated at St. John Cathedral at 7:30 PM during which Bishop Richard Lennon will be welcomed to
St. John
Cathedral. St. Malachi Parish has 4 tickets available for the Vespers; if you would like to attend, please contact Fr. Tony at the rectory; tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The installation Mass for Bishop Lennon on May 15 is by invitation only because of the limited seating. However, there will be a public reception at the Galleria, to which everyone is invited.

Youth Exchange Services (YES), a non-profit US designed exchange program founded in 1974, needs Catholic Host families to host international high school students during the 2006- 07 school year. Teenagers are will educated 15 to 17 year old students who are selected on their language skill, maturity, personal accomplish, and moral standards. Students come from Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Host families are asked to provide accommodation, meals and to embrace the student as their own son or daughter. The host family can claim a $50 tax deduction for each month of the student's stay. The students speak fairly good English, have medical insurance, and bring their own spending money. Youth Exchange Service provides medical insurance and high school arrangements and counseling. This will be an enriching and unforgettable experience for everyone in the family.
