CATHOLIC HOME MISSIONS APPEAL
This week's second collection is the Catholic Home Missions
Appeal, which supports mission efforts in the United States. There are many places in America where the Catholic Church struggles to keep parishes open & educate children in the faith. Some dioceses are terribly short of priests, sisters & resources needed to run parishes. Please give generously to assist fellow Catholics in America.

WELCOME PAVOL (PAUL)!
Let us extend a special “St. Malachi” welcome to Slovak seminarian Pavol (Paul) Hrabovecký, from the Archdiocese of Kosicé who will be with us for the next few months. Paul is in Cleveland for his “Pastoral Year” experience, which is similar to the internship year that our Cleveland seminarian Ed Suszynski completed last week. Paul has been in Cleveland since last October, first with the Benedictines at St. Andrew Abbey and then at Assumption Parish in Broadview Heights.

On Sunday, May 14, Solemn Vespers will be celebrated at St. John Cathedral at 7:30 PM during which Bishop Richard Lennon will be welcomed to St. John Cathedral. The installation Mass for Bishop Lennon on May 15 is by invitation only because of the limited seating. However, there will be a public reception at the Galleria, to which everyone is invited.

To help you prepare for voting, please pick up a copy of the “Primary Election 2006 Candidate Survey” sponsored by the Commission on Catholic Community Action at the doors of the church.
