This Thursday, March 9, there is an information meeting on “Citizen Circles” from 5:30-6:30 PM at Cathedral Square Plaza (1404 E. 9th St., lower level). Citizen Circles help offenders (those coming out of prison) to make the changes from “offender” to “citizen.” The Circle includes community representatives, the returning offender & family members. Together they develop a re-entry plan to address an individual's specific needs (i.e. education, job, housing, health, etc.) & help him/her become accepted as a productive community member. Citizen Circle works with the Ohio Adult Parole Authority to assure that the reentry process is a productive experience which lead to positive participation in the community. For details, call Phil Nunes at (216) 881-7882 or Sister Rita Mary Harwood at (216) 696-6525 x 2200. Flyers on the program are available at the Church doors.
