ST. MALACHI CENTER-PART TIME POSITION

PLANNING FOR FR. JIM'S JUBILEE
On Sunday, May 21, Fr. Jim O'Donnell will celebrate his 50th ordination anniversary! There will be Mass at St. Malachi at 2:30 pm, followed by a reception in the hall. We need help with planning, set up, decorating, purchasing paper products & clean up. Come to a preparation meeting on Sunday, March 12, from 10:30-11:00 am in the hall. 6TH ANNUAL SOUP FOR THE SOULSoup for the Soul 2006
Want to come to a great party? And support St. Malachi Center? Then come to the 6th annual Soup for the Soul fundraiser on Thursday, March 30th at Signature at LaCentre in Westlake. It's a Lenten sacrificial meal, (well, not *that* much of a sacrifice!) including sampling a dozen and a half soups and fresh Easter bread, appetizers, desserts served by celebrities. There are raffles for upscale items including baskets in food, glamour, sports, personal care, and many other themes. There are also Silent Auctions featuring items such as vacation condos, chef-prepared meals at your home, and personal training. SOCIAL ACTION CAN BE CONTAGIOUS!
The BackDoor Ministry is open every day of the year to serve anyone who comes looking for a bite to eat. The volunteers serve coffee, sandwiches, and donuts to dozens of people daily. Personal care items and clothing are also distributed when they are available. Men's' socks, T-shirts and underwear are ALWAYS needed. Can you donate men's socks & underwear to support this effort? A box for your donation is in the front of the church.

RESTORATION FUND DRAWING

On Tuesday, March 7, the parishes of the Cleveland area will celebrate a special Jubilee Mass to honor Bishop Pillla's 25th anniversary as Bishop of Cleveland at 7 PM at Holy Name Church, 8328 Broadway Avenue (at Harvard). A reception will follow. Save the date & plan to come!
