PARISH COUNCIL OPENING
Parish Council represents the people of St. Malachi in guiding the ministry and mission of the parish. Due to a recent job relocation, Parish Council has an opening for an At-Large representative. The term is three years. The Council meets at 6 PM on the first Wednesday of every other month at St. Malachi Center; the next scheduled meeting is October 2. URBAN COMMUNITY SCHOOL - GRAND OPENING FIESTA THIS SATURDAY

for the grand opening of the new school facility on September 3 (Saturday of Labor Day weekend) from 11 am-2 pm at the new school, 4909 Lorain Avenue. 13TH ANNUAL ST. MALACHI CENTER BENEFIT FAMILY GOLF OUTING AND PIG ROAST
St. Malachi Center's 13th annual benefit Family Golf Outing and Pig Roast is Friday, October 7, at Bob-O-Links Golf Course, Avon. Cost: $100 for 18 holes (includes lunch and dinner); $70 for 9 holes (includes lunch and dinner); $360 for a single-reservation foursome (includes lunch and dinner); dinner only: $35 serving at 4 p.m. After-dinner entertainment includes music. MALACHI HOUSE 18TH ANNUAL BENEFIT
With the theme, “Let the Good Times Roll,” the major annual fundraiser will be held Friday, Oct. 21, at La Centre in Westlake. Proceeds allow
Malachi House to care for its terminally ill residents without cost to them or their families. Donations are being sought for the silent auction, especially tickets for sports and cultural events, art, memorabilia, collectibles and travel packages. Donated items will be displayed and listed in the program. Donation forms are available at the rectory or by calling the Benefit Committee, 440-331-2258.

WORLD PEACE DAY
In the spirit of Vibrant Parish Life, the parish choirs of our Central West District of the Diocese of Cleveland are presenting a Concert in celebration of World Peace Day on Sunday, September 18, at 3:00 PM at St. Colman Church, 2027 W. 65 St., Cleveland. The St. Malachi Choir, along with the choirs of the other Catholic churches in our area invite you to share in a multicultural celebration of song, giving thanks for our diversity, our unity and God's love for us all.
