PRAY FOR VOCATIONS
Please remember in prayer our seminary students as they begin their new school year this coming weekend.
Borromeo will welcome 20 new students into the college formation program.
Saint Mary Seminary will begin with 30 candidates (an increase of 3 from the previous year). We are very blessed with generous candidates who are open and eager to discern God's call in their life. Thank you for the ways you support and encourage vocations. Your personal involvement and active participation in promoting vocations makes all the difference.
140TH ANNIVERSARY PROGRAM ON OUR
WEBSITE
“St. Malachi
Memories,” a new addition to the St. Malachi Parish website, contains 156 slides that were presented at the recent St. Malachi staff celebration. The slides give an overview of the staff, ministries, buildings, and the surrounding neighborhood since 1865.
The presentation is part of an on-going project to update our archival materials. If you have information on the events and people depicted, or if you have photos to add to the archives, please contact the rectory e-mail, <malachirectory@catholic.org>. In the near future, copies of some of the event, class, and communion photos from the archives will be displayed at coffee hour in the hall for a closer look.

A
MESSAGE FROM DAVE STARRE:
“With the home-grown produce coming to fruition in backyard gardens, the St. Malachi Monday Night Meal can use any excess tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini squash, carrots, onions, lettuce and all other leafy green vegetables you wish to donate. Just bring them to the hall kitchen before Sunday Mass, or after, and place them in the refrigerator. We will use them all! God bless…” D.S.

He said to them,
"But who do you say that I am?" Simon
Peter said in reply, "You are the Messiah,
the Son of the living God." Jesus said to him
in reply, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father." Mt 16:15-17
