PENTECOST
Pentecost is rightly called “the birthday of the Church” as
it marks the coming of the Holy Spirit to empower the
followers of Christ in their Christian life and mission. It is
the final feast of the Easter Season.

ANNUAL MISSION APPEAL
Each year, every parish is asked to participate in a
special appeal for the Missions. Next weekend, St.
Malachi will welcome Fr. Richard Reece OSFS from Foreign Missions
of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, who will speak
about his community’s work at each Mass. American
Oblate missionaries currently serve among the poorest of
the poor in South Africa; Saude, Brazil; Aranos, Namibia;
Port Au-Prince, Haiti; Bangalore, India; Lviv, Ukraine;
and Manila, Philippines. There will be a second collection
for the missions at all Masses.
BACKDOOR MINISTRY NEEDS
The Backdoor Ministry is seeking donations of men’s
white socks, summer shorts & cotton T-Shirts any color.
Spring-weight coats & jackets are also needed. Thanks
for helping! Sandwiches, doughnuts, & coffee are served
daily at the rectory. Volunteers are needed, especially
weekdays. Call Sr. Francis at 216-861-5343. A meal
without cost is served at 6:00 pm Mondays in the parish
hall & breakfast is served from 8:30-9:30 am on the last
Sunday of each month.
ST. MALACHI CENTER
ANNUAL RAFFLE
Don't forget to buy your Memorial Day Raffle tickets to benefit Center programs. The drawing is May 30,
Memorial Day. Main prize: $10,000, ($200 seller’s
prize); Second prize: $2000; Third prize: $500. Tickets
are $20, with just 2500 printed. The drawing will take
place with breakfast in the Center, following the 9 AM

CALLISTIAN GUILD BENEFIT GOLF OUTING
The Callistian Guild is a ministry of Catholic Cemeteries and Catholic Funeral Directors in our diocese created to provide Christian Burial services to the indigent. Hosted by the Catholic Cemeteries Association, the 29th Annual Golf outing will be on Wednesday, July 13, at Fowler's Mill Golf Course 13095 Rockhaven Rd, Chesterland. 12:45 Registration $100 per player 18 holes of golf, cart, dinner & hors d'oeuvres.
