"SEEKING ANSWERS WHEN WE'RE BATTERED BY LIFE" - AN EVENING WITH ANTOINETTE BOSCO
Plan to attend an evening with Antoinette Bosco on May 13, at 7:00 pm in St. Malachi Church. Her presentation, "Seeking Answers When We're Battered by Life" will discuss how suffering calls into question the goodness of God, the challenges it presents to one's faith and how faith responses lead to authentic mercy, forgiveness and peace. PUBLICATION DEADLINES FOR ST. MALACHI
Announcements for the Parish Bulletin are due by Tuesday of that week.
Items for the monthly Calendar are due by the Third Wednesday of the month
The CSM newsletter is published on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. The due date for articles is the First and Third Sundays (CSM deadlines are printed on the back page of the Newsletters).
CSM Communio deadline is due by the First Sunday of the month. It is printed the fourth Sunday every month.
At times, a Committee/Commission inquires about handing out flyers at the church doors. Each group is responsible for recruiting people to do this. Carol and Kimberly (Office Staff) suggest that announcements are kept to 2 lines and articles should not be longer than 5 lines or a small paragraph. For questions, call the rectory (216) 861-5343.

POPE JOHN PAUL II FUND FOR CHILDREN
To honor the memory of Pope John Paul II, the Diocese of Cleveland has created the Pope John Paul II Fund for Poor and Disadvantaged Children. The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland Foundation (CDCF) set up the fund after receiving inquires about how to make a gift in the Pope's memory. “Pope John Paul II lived by the Gospel message of Our Lord Jesus and had a special place in his heart for poor and disadvantaged children,” explained Bishop Pilla. “The Donations will be used to provide education, food, shelter, and basic assistance for poor and disadvantaged children in the community. Those interested may make a donation to the CDCF-Pope John Paul II Fund at any local branch of National City Bank. Donations may also be made by mail with checks payable to: CDCF - Pope John Paul II Fund, c/o The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland Foundation, 1404 E. Ninth St., 8th Fl., Cleveland, Ohio 44114.
