BISHOP OVERSEAS AID APPEAL
Today is the U.S. Bishops Overseas Aid Appeal collection. This supports the Migration & Refugee Services' work with people newly arrived in the U.S. Catholic Relief Services aids victims of natural disaster & human strife. Our January special collection for the tsunami was $2,938.60, which we sent to Catholic Relief Services. Let us support Catholic Relief Services' aid to disaster victims.

TENEBRAE
Please join all the parishes of the Central West District for a Holy Week service of light and darkness with psalms, scripture and song on Monday, March 21, at 7:30 PM at St, Malachi Church. This is an ancient traditional prayer form for Catholics to enter into the Passion in Holy Week. The evening has been planned by the Spirituality Commission for Vibrant Parish Life.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
Parishioners who are interested in becoming Eucharistic Ministers are asked to contact Fr. Tony (216)861-5343 by March 23. Requirements: at least 18 years old, Confirmed, Catholic in good standing.

COMING: SONGS FROM GODSPELL
Nest Sunday - Passion (Palm) Sunday, March 20 - members of the high school Christian Formation group will present “Songs from Godspell” at 7 PM in the church. All are invited to attend!

BACKDOOR MINISTRY HELP NEEDED
Sandwiches, doughnuts, & coffee are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are needed, especially weekdays. Call Sr. Francis at 216-861-5343. A meal without cost is served at 6:00 p.m. Mondays to the needy in the parish hall. 

SMART Join other S.M.A.R.T.  (Saint Malachi Adults Raising Toddlers/Teens/Tweens… you get the idea) families for Lenten fish fries. We meet at 6 p.m. Bring your own high chair/booster & child beverage (most fish fries only serve coffee & soda). March 18: St. Patrick, 4427 Rocky River Dr., Cleveland. Fried or baked fish, pierogies, Mac & cheese. If you want to be notified by e-mail of upcoming S.M.A.R.T. events, send e-mail to gospelforum@stmalachi.org with "add S.M.A.R.T." in the subject line.

NEEDED: HOLY SATURDAY BAKERY AND HELPERS
On Holy Saturday, March 26, there will be a reception in the hall after the Easter Vigil. We need bakery donations and people to help with the reception. If you can bake or help host, call Stephanie Taylor-Ayers: (216) 651-0358.

MALACHI MART - NEW INITIATIVE
The Mart now accepts State of Ohio Directional Card for food purchases. This new Mart initiative helps serve neighborhood residents, which is the most important mission of Malachi Mart.

PRISON MINISTRY THANKS
The Diocesan Ministry to the Incarcerated offers sincere thanks to everyone who has so faithfully contributed to the prison ministry during the past year. We have received generous financial contributions from many parishes and many local St. Vincent de Paul Societies. Other gifts have included countless rosaries, stamps, cards, note paper & reading materials. During the holiday season, students from several schools prepared cards and envelopes. Please know that you are a prison ministry partner in spreading the Good News and God's love and forgiveness.

50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY MASS
The annual celebration for all married couples celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary will be July 31 at 2 PM at St. John Cathedral. The Department for Marriage & Family Ministry and the Pastoral Liturgy Office invite couples married in 1955 to the Anniversary Mass and Celebration. Please call the rectory to make a reservation for this Mass; deadline is June 30.
