THE LATIN AMERICAN-EL SALVADOR COLLECTION 
The second collection which supports Our Diocesan Mission Team in El Salvador, will be taken up the weekend of February 5 & 6, 2005. Please continue to pray and sacrifice that this work may continue.

REVERSE RAFFLE
The committee for the Reverse Raffle will be having an open meeting on January 31, at 7 PM. The meeting is to plan for the 140th Anniversary of St. Malachi Parish celebration. All are welcome to attend.

BACKDOOR MINISTRY HELP NEEDED
Sandwiches, doughnuts, & coffee are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are needed, especially weekdays. Call Sr. Francis at 216-861-5343. A meal without cost is served at 6:00 p.m. Mondays to the needy in the parish hall.

REPORT TO THE COMMUNITY
Catholics across the Diocese of Cleveland will soon be receiving a large envelope at home from the Office of Bishop Anthony M. Pilla. “A Report to the Community from the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland 2004 ” is an initial effort to better acquaint everyone with the extensive temporal, spiritual, educational, & charitable contributions made by the people of this Diocese. This annual report also includes a financial overview. Your attention to this document is appreciated.

GOSPEL REFLECTION: JOIN THE CONVERSATION
The St. Malachi Vine and Branches Gospel Discussion Forum allows parishioners and Community members to link to the readings for the upcoming Sunday and, if so moved, post a reflection. In addition to spiritual preparation for Sunday's Liturgy, the forum provides a format for deepening our understanding of God's word and its impact in our lives through shared reflection. HOMELESS STAND DOWN 2005 
The next Homeless Stand Down will be Feb. 11, 12, & 13. What is the Homeless Stand down? A fair-like event, the Homeless Stand Down provides services, meals and a warm safe place in late winter for homeless men, women, and children in the Cleveland area. THE LIFE IN CHRIST SERIES
The Life in Christ series is a course designed to renew your relationship with Jesus, and help develop a deeper understanding of God's call in our lives. SEEDS OF LITERACY

CANA II REMARRIAGE
Couples who are remarrying are to receive special preparation as mandated by the Diocesan Marriage Policy. The Cana II Day is designed to address the specific issues of remarriage and has been scheduled on the following Saturdays: 12 February 2005 at Holy Spirit in Avon Lake, 16 April 2005 at Holy Angels in Chagrin Falls and 24 September 2005. SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM
For some seniors it is hard to imagine that their “Golden Years” would be spent working part-time, but it is a reality that many people over the age of 55 face.
