Jesus:
In Love, He came to teach the world
In Peace, He walked the earth
In Hope, He gave us all a chance to
choose a second birth
In Joy, He used his holiness to be our
Christ and Lord
In Spirit, He is forever near to be our
true reward
May you, your families and all your
loved ones have a most
Blessed Christmas!

JANUARY 1: SOLEMNITY OF MARY, THE MOTHER OF GOD & WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR PEACE
January 1 is the Solemn Feast of Mary as Mother of God and the World Day of Prayer for Peace. Because New Year's Day falls on a Saturday, the obligation to attend Mass for the Holy Day is dispensed this year. St. Malachi will have a 4:30 Mass on New Year's Eve and a 10 AM Mass on New Year's Day. Please note that there will be a 4:30 PM Vigil Mass on New Year's Day for the Feast of the Epiphany (Sunday, January 2).
EPIPHANY FESTIVAL OF LESSONS AND CAROLS
Come one, come all to our annual Epiphany Celebration, Sunday afternoon January 2. The celebration begins in church at 4 PM with Lessons and Carols and we'll adjourn to the hall for a potluck supper. A main dish (sloppy Joes) and beverages will be provided…. Please bring a dish to share. Come for joyful music, prayer and fellowship. Call the rectory to RSVP or for further information.

POOR CLARES' PRAYER LINE
In 1921, Archbishop Schrembs invited the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration to St. Paul Shrine, Euclid Ave. at East 40 to begin a ministry of Eucharistic Adoration and prayer for the people of our diocese. For 83 years, the Poor Clare Nuns have adored the Eucharist and prayed night & day without ceasing. Do you need prayer today? Are your loved ones, co-workers or neighbor in need of God's loving guidance? Call the Poor Clares' Prayer line (216-361-0783) and leave your intentions with the Sisters, confident you will receive a blessing from the Lord!. |
