BLOOD DRIVE TODAY
St. Malachi Center  is hosting a Blood Drive Today, Sunday, from 8:30-1:30 in the Center. There continues to be an urgent need for blood. All those eligible to donate blood are strongly urged to give.

EUCHARIST MINISTERS
Parishioners who are interested in becoming Eucharistic Ministers are asked to contact Fr. Tony (216-861-5343) by September 17th. Requirements: at least 18 yrs old. Confirmed, Catholic in good standing. Training in October.

RCIA
Do you know someone who has no church affiliation or someone who has expressed interest in the Catholic Community? Why not invite them to “come and see?” For more information, call Fr. Tony or Mary Jane Treichel at (216) 861-5343. RCIA sessions begin September 13th.

BACKDOOR MINISTRY HELP NEEDED
A meal without cost is served at 6:00 p.m. Mondays to the needy in the parish hall. Sandwiches, doughnuts, & coffee are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are needed, especially weekdays. Call Sr. Francis at 216-861-5343

FUNERAL CHOIR
We are forming a funeral choir here at St. Malachi! If you love to sing, are free most mornings and would like to find a way to be involved in ministry, this could be the group for you! Our first meeting/rehearsal; will take place on Tuesday morning, September 28th at 10 AM in church. For further information, call Charlene McElwee at the rectory.

REFUGEE AID
We invite you to drop off your contributions for the refugee families resettled on the Near West Side. The box is located at the front of the church. SOCIAL ACTION-CHARITY OF THE MONTH
The Little Brothers & Sisters of the Eucharist is a ministry of presence for our neighbors on the near east side. They work with children and families, providing foster care and support services to those in need. They also minister to youth in the detention home and women in prison. They are in need of a variety of items that are shared with the needy in their ministries. These include: diapers (all sizes), disposable food containers, blank journals, juice packs or boxes, & school supplies, such as notebooks, paper, pencils pens, & markers. A box for your donation is at the front of the church. Thank You for your support.

VIRTUS DIRECTOR TO SPEAK ON ABUSE PREVENTION
Donna Albertone, director of the diocesan VIRTUS program, will speak at 7:30 PM Thursday in Mary's Room at St. Christopher Church, 20141 Detroit RD, Rocky River. The program to prevent child sex abuse will by November have trained 36,000 clergy, teachers, parish staff, and adult volunteers and will begin sessions for parents and children in January. The meeting, open to all, is sponsored by the St. Christopher affiliate of Voice of the Faithful (www.votf.org). VOTF's goals are to support victims of abuse, priests of integrity and structural change to prevent future scandals. Contact Fred McGunagle for more info: 440-899-7011.

OUR LADY OF ANGELS CHURCH
Our Lady of Angels Church will sponsor their annual fall festival on the parish grounds at 3644 Rocky River Drive, Cleveland (3 blocks north of Kamm's Corner) on September 17, 18 and 19. Hours on Friday will be from 5 PM to 11 PM Saturday from 1 PM -11 PM and Sunday from 1 PM-10 PM. There will be rides, games, prizes, food and entertainment for people of all ages.
