BACKDOOR MINISTRY HELP NEEDED
A meal without cost is served at 6:00 p.m. Mondays to the needy in the parish hall. Sandwiches, doughnuts, & coffee are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are needed, especially weekdays. Call Sr. Francis at 216-861-5343.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT UPDATE
The current phase of the road project is transforming the area in front of the County Engineers' building into a parking lot and mini-park. Please note that we have permission to park in the lot on Detroit across the street from Massimo di Milano. We will continue to keep you informed. Thank you for your patience and continued cooperation to make this as trouble free as possible for all!

PRAYER WALK FOR PEACE 
Prayer walk for Peace every Wednesday with group gathering at 7:15 p.m. (note time change) in St. Malachi parking lot for prayerful walk to Public Square and further prayer there for peace. All ages welcome!

The Jesuit Retreat House is offering individually directed retreats, following the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. BETHLEHEM CHRISTIAN FAMILIES OLIVE WOOD CARVINGS SALE
The Bethlehem Christian Families represent more than 150 Christian families of Bethlehem following the traditional art of olive wood carving. They create Nativity sets, Christmas ornaments, crucifixes and other religious items. With the continuing violence in the Mideast, few pilgrims visit Bethlehem and these families are in desperate need. Representatives from Bethlehem Christian Families will be at St. Malachi with a selection of olivewood carvings for sale on July 10-11, after the all the Masses in the hall. Your support can help these Christian brothers and sisters survive. 

SPECIAL PRESENTATION
“The Mid-East:Whom Can We Believe Today?” will be the focus of a special presentation given by Rev. David B Burrell. C.S.C. at St. Hillary Spiritual Center, 2750 W. Market St. (330-867-1055) on Thursday night, 7-8-04, at 7:30 PM. Fr. Burrell, just back from Jerusalem, is Professor of Philosophy and Theology at Notre Dame University. 

FAMILY RETREAT: BALLOONS AND BUTTERFLIES 
"A Celebration of Family Life and Values" at St. Joseph Christian Life Center, 18485 Lakeshore Blvd, Cleve Saturday, July 24, 1:00 PM-Sunday, July 25, 1:00 PM. Directed by Sr. Jeannette Kearns This overnight retreat experience is designed for families who want to spend time together to celebrate the richness of family life and our Catholic faith. Talks, games, entertainment, discussion and family projects fill the day and the evening is spent having fun together with other families who share similar values and commitment to family life. THEOLOGY ON TAP
Join the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland's Foundation's Associate Board of young professionals for the summer installment of “Theology on Tap.” The program will be held at the Cleveland Museum of Art (11150 East Blvd.-in University Circle) on Wednesday, July 21.
