LATIN AMERICA MISSION COLLECTION
Today is the annual appeal for the Latin America Missions. The St. Malachi connection to our El Salvador mission continues as Fr. Mark Riley (a former St. Malachi Intern) and Sr. Rose Elizabeth Terrell, OSU (former Director of Urban Community School) join the mission team. There is a second collection at all Masses. Envelopes are located at the back of the church.

HELP NEEDED 
A meal without cost is served at 6:00 p.m. Mondays to the needy in the parish hall. Sandwiches, doughnuts, & coffee are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are needed, especially weekdays. Call Sr. Francis at

WE NEED YOUR HELP 
We are beginning our preparations for Lent, Holy Week and Easter and have a number of short term projects that might be of interest. The first project is to sort through our Palm Sunday slides so we can determine our needs for this years proclamation of the Passion_ Call Charlene McElwee at the rectory for more information. 

BLOOD DRIVE

Free Income Tax Preparation 
St. Malachi Center is offering free Income Tax preparation for families earning under $30,000 Bring: your 2003 W2's, 1099's, last years tax return (if available), Social Security cards and Individual Tax 
Identification Number for all dependents. February 7&14. Call 771-3036 for more information or questions. Does not include Sole Proprietors or those using Schedule C. 

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS 
Parishioners who are interested in becoming Eucharistic Ministers are asked to contact Fr. Tony (216)861-5343 by March 5. Requirements: at least 18 years old, Confirmed, Catholic in good standing.

SAVE THE DATE FOR SOUP FOR THE SOUL Mark your calendars for Thursday, April 1st for our 4th Annual Soup for the Soul Fundraiser to be held at La Centre in Westlake at 6 PM. Soup for the Soul is the Center's largest fundraiser of the year, raising over $37,000 last year 
to support the ministry of St. Malachi Center.  Tickets cost just $40. That includes dinner, raffles, Silent auctions, and a full n night of entertainment.  Soup for the Soul

The secretaries will direct the message to Dolores Sullin or Luis Gutierrez so that your request can be sent as soon as possible. Contacting the rectory directly assures that your request will be directed to the person available. 

These notices are meant to include deaths, illnesses, and other urgent prayer requests regarding St. Malachi members, former members, and their loved ones.

We have a shortage of Pyxes available for persons to bring Communion to those who are sick. If you have one that you are not using, please return it to the Sacristy. Thank You 

HOW TO BE A CATHOLIC IN THE NEW MILLENNIUM 
St. Colman is sponsoring an adult Christian Education series. We will pray together using the Bible readings that we have studied and will try to apply the teachings of these readings to our lives. The program will be on Wednesdays thru April 11, 2004 starting at 7:00 PM till 8:30 PM 

POLKA MASS AND DINNER 
St Wendelin Church will hold its annual Polka Mass at 4:30 PM on Saturday, February 14th. Tickets for the dinner and Dance are $24 per person and are available at St. Wendelin Church Rectory (216)861-1141.

The Social Action Commission is pleased to report that during Advent members of St. Malachi Parish and Community collected $2,730.20 for the Heifer Project. We will follow up to let you know what animals were 
purchased with the donation. Thank you for your support in helping to "break the cycle of poverty."
