LITURGY UPDATE Today's liturgy attachment reviews how to properly receive the Blood of Christ. The possibility of receiving Communion under both species (bread & wine) is one of the most important liturgy developments. This series can help us better understand the meaning of the words & actions we use at Mass, to help us all pray & worship better.
CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN DEVLOPMT Next weekend is the 32nd Annual Catholic Campaign for Human Development Appeal to promote peace and justice by supporting self-help projects. Our diocese is redoubling its efforts to fund programs that break the cycle of poverty in our communities and offer a sense of security. There will be a second collection at all Masses.
FR. HRITZ MASS In December, Fr. Paul Hritz will be a priest 50 years. On Saturday, November 29, he will celebrate the 4:30 Mass with us. He has made it very clear that he does not want a Jubilee celebration & we will honor his request. But we should on Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend offer thanks to God for him & the 50 years of his priestly ministry.
CENTER HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE St. Malachi Center needs new or "like new" gift items for mothers, fathers, teens, children and toddlers for the annual children's Christmas Boutique on Wednesday, December 18. The children then shop at no cost. Please bring gift items to the Center by December 17. Call Ms. Kim at 216-771-3036.
WEST SIDE CATHOLIC CENTER West Side Catholic Center invites you to support the "Warm Hearts, Winter Nights" dinner. Saturday evening, Nov 22, 2003, located at Windows on the River, Powerhouse-Nautica 6pm. This annual fundraiser supports needy individuals with food & clothing year round. The Dorothy Day Award will be presented to Rich & Julia Jersonek for their caring presence for the many years of volunteer work.
