PANCAKE BREAKFAST This Sunday after 9:30 & 11 AM Masses in the hall is the Pancake Breakfast sponsored by our senior Christian Formation Class to help fund their trip to the National Catholic Youth Conference this fall. Please support them!
LITURGY UPDATES Please note the bulletin attachment on the meaning of Holy Communion. This series is designed to help us better understand the meaning of our words & actions at Mass -- especially the Communion rite — to help us pray better.
CHURCH ENVELOPES New envelopes for the next 15 months - Oct thru Dec. 2004 -- begin this week. Boxes are available at the doors of the church. Please remember to write your name & address on the new envelopes so we can keep proper records.
RENEWING YOUR FAITH PROGRAM Renewing Your Catholic Faith, an adult faith-formation program for Catholics seeking deeper understanding of the faith & better connect faith & life continues this week. NEW BULLETINS Beginning in Advent we will be changing our bulletin format. Liturgical Publications will print the bulletin at no cost to the parish; the cost will be offset by advertising on the back. If you are interested in taking an ad for your company business in our bulletin please call the rectory for information.
SAMARITAN MINISTRY St. Malachi Samaritan Ministry continues this Friday, October 10, from 1-4:30 PM at St. Malachi Center. This workshop offers education on alcohol & drug addiction. The workshop continues on October 17 & 24
BLANKET SUNDAY Next Sunday is Blanket Sunday. We accept new or like-new blankets, sheets, pillow cases, towels, & washcloths to give to families & homeless people. All donations in Blanket Sunday envelopes go to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
PRAYERS FOR POPE Bishop Anthony Pilla has asked the people of our Diocese to continue their prayers for the Holy Father. Later this month Pope John Paul II will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his pontificate; let us ask God to bless him.
READING BUDDIES St Malachi Center is looking for a few good "buddies" The After School Program needs adults to read with children between the ages of five & seven for one hour per week. For more info call Ms. Kim (216)771-3036.

SUPPORT WELCOME A meal without cost is served to the needy on Mondays at 6 PM in the parish hall. Doughnuts, sandwiches, and coffee are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are welcome (216-861-5343).

St. Malachi Center has Entertainment 2004 books available in a combined East-West Side edition in the back of church, the rectory, at coffee hour, at the Mart and at the Center. Cost is $25 before December 2; after, $30.
50/50 RAFFLE The winner of the September 50/50 Raffle was Don Mancejdeli, $245. Seller: Ray Leuschel. Proceeds: $145.
MALACHI  MART
Malachi Mart hours: 10 AM-6 PM, Tuesday through Saturday; 10 AM-2 PM Sunday.
Malachi Mart supports the ministry of St. Malachi Center and is always looking for volunteers  to assist in every way.  For more information, call (216) 621-1988.
"PLANET GREEN" "PLANET' GREEN" Please continue to save empty printer cartridges for the "Planet Green" environmental project. Cartridges will be  recycled & refilled; we receive a rebate for every 25 we collect. They may be dropped off at the church or rectory.
PRISON MINISTRY Soft-bound inspirational books and pamphlets are needed for our prison ministry and will be distributed to the inmates at the Cleveland Justice Center. Please bring them to the rectory or place in the container by Mary’s altar.
FINANCE Thank you for your support in last Sunday's collection of $3,038 ($3,180 budgeted) and $351 for the Catholic Communications Campaign. Your continued support is deeply appreciated!
