GOD BLESS God's blessing on Jaxson David Williams, son of Eric and Heather Lawson Williams, who was baptized last week! May Jaxson continue to grow in wisdom, grace and age.
ST. PATRICK JUBILEE: 150 On Monday, St. Patrick's Day, St. Patrick Parish begins their Sesquicentennial Jubilee celebration with Mass at 9:30 AM with Bishop Anthony Pilla. We join with them in thanking God for 150 years of God's blessings!
COMMUNAL PENANCE SERVICES Lent is a special time of repentance and conversion. You are invited to come to the Communal Penance Service  next Sunday, March 23, 2 PM at St. Patrick (Bridge); Tuesday, March 25, 7 PM at St. Malachi; and Sunday, April 6, 2 PM at St. Wendelin. Several priests will be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
LENTEN
OUTREACH
This Lent, we invite support for Fr. Eugene Hattie's ministry with orphan children in Uganda, Africa. Individuals & families are asked to make a Lenten sacrifice, perhaps $.50 or $1 a day & donate the money saved. Envelopes are at the church doors & can be returned in the collection. Make checks payable to St. Malachi Benefit Fund
WALK FOR PEACE The Prayer Walk for Peace continues to grow and expresses through unified prayer our desire for peace in the world. Meet in the parking lot by the side of church Wednesday at 7 PM. Come for Stations of the Cross at 6:30.

APPLY FOR REVIEW BOARD

In accordance with Bishop Anthony Pilla and the new diocesan policy, the Special Commission on Sexual Abuse in the Diocese of Cleveland is accepting applications for membership on the Review Board that is being created to implement the new policy. Deadline for applications is March 20; they are available in the Rectory office
SOUP FOR THE SOUL BENEFIT St. Malachi Center's 3rd annual Soup for the Soul benefit is Thursday, April 3, 6:30 to 10:30 PM at Window's  on the River. Tickets are $35. Call Peggy Cooney at 440-835-1959 or Barb Parkowski at 440-734-5822.
RICE FOR PEACE  The Joint Social Action Committee has materials available in the front vestibule and at coffee hours for all to participate in a letter campaign against the war in Iraq. Please join us in this additional effort for peace.
BLOOD  DRIVE The Joint Social Action Committee is sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive at St. Malachi Center next Sunday, March 23, from 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM. Giving blood can save lives. Please try to attend.
RCIA RITE: ELECTION This Sunday, Candidates & Catechumens in the RCIA journey of faith celebrate the Rite of Election with Bishop Pilla, the final step as they prepare for reception into the Church at Easter. Please keep them in your prayers.
PRISON MINISTRY Soft-bound inspirational books and pamphlets are needed for our prison ministry and will be distributed to the inmates at the Cleveland Justice Center. Please bring them to the rectory or place in the container by Mary’s altar.

SUPPORT WELCOME A meal without cost is served to the needy on Mondays at 6 PM in the parish hall. Doughnuts, sandwiches, and coffee are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are needed, especially weekdays. Call Sr. Francis: 216-861-5343.

READING BUDDIES St. Malachi Center After School Program needs “buddies”, adults to read with children from ages five to seven for one hour per week. Basic training and material is provided. To volunteer, call Kim White at 216-771-3036.
ADULT FAITH FORMATION Kevin & Becky McKenna will host informal gatherings on Tuesday, March 18, from 6-8:30 PM to discuss “Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us”, the Bishops Plan for Adult Faith Formation. As part of Vibrant Parish Life, this invitation is also offered to St. Colman, St. Wendelin and St. Patrick Churches. CONFIRMATION St. Malachi will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on Tuesday, May 20 at St. Patrick Church. Adults and teenagers who have not yet been confirmed, please contact Fr. Tony (216) 861-5343 to begin preparation.
ST. PAT’S BENEFIT The Annual Restoration Fund Drawing of St. Patrick Church Restoration Committee, Bridge Ave., St. Patrick's Day, March 17. 1st Prize: $10,000; Donation: $20. Tickets available at St. Malachi church entrance or rectory.
MALACHI  MART Malachi Mart hours: 10 AM-6 PM, Tuesday through Saturday; 10 AM-2 PM Sunday.
Stop in at the Mart and support the Center.

"PLANET GREEN" Please continue to save empty printer cartridges for the "Planet Green" environmental project. Cartridges will be recycled & refilled. They may be dropped off at the church or rectory.
