COMMUNAL PENANCE Our Advent Communal Penance Service is this Sunday, December 15, at 2 PM here at St. Malachi Church.  Several priests will serve as confessors. You are invited to come & be reconciled during this Advent Season.
RETIRED RELIGIOUS APPEAL This weekend is the annual appeal for Retired Religious. This national collection supports many retired Sisters & Brothers who served God's people for many years for little or no pay, are now retired and whose community retirement funds are inadequate to support them. There will be a second collection after all Masses.

FUN!
Come share your family traditions, learn some new ones, and help your children learn Christmas Carols. Cocoa, punch and cookies provided. Meet in the hall at 6:30 PM for a fun evening!
FRUIT BASKETS Help is needed to deliver fruit baskets to residents of Lakeview & Riverview Hi-rises this Sunday, December 15, starting at Noon. Meet at the Center at Noon and help share the Malachi spirit!

WORD AND SONG A prayer service with Gospel music in church before the Monday Night Meal! All are invited to join in welcoming our neighborhood friends whom we serve, from 5-5:15 PM on Mondays, December 16, 23.
DECORATE
CHURCH
Window roping, wreaths & manger will go up this Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 6:00 PM. Trees, lights & flowers will be added Sunday, Dec. 22. Help is needed & welcome! 
POINSETTAS
You are welcome to bring poinsettias (any color) to church from Monday, December 16 through Sunday, Dec. 22 for decorating and also for distribution to our homebound, neighborhood friends.
SOUP FOR THE SOUL Honor someone special with a gift that supports the families and children of St. Malachi Center. For $50, give a soup bowl, certificate & recognition at the Soup for the Soul benefit. For $100, all of the above plus two (2) tickets to join in the fun at the benefit on April 3. CHRISTMAS
CAROLING

All members of St. Malachi are invited to gather for Christmas caroling this Sunday at 5 PM at St. Paul Community Church, 4427 Franklin. There will be Christmas caroling at St. Herman's shelter, two nursing homes and Malachi House. The evening ends with a social at Franklin Circle Church, 1688 Fulton.

CENTER HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE St. Malachi Center needs new or "like new" gift items for mothers, fathers, teens, children and toddlers for the annual children's Christmas Boutique on Wednesday, December 18. Please bring items to the Center by Dec 17.

5. Friday: Children's Choir rehearsal, 4:30 PM in church, all children 7+ welcome

SUPPORT WELCOME A meal without cost is served to the needy on Mondays at 6 PM in the parish hall. Doughnuts, sandwiches, and coffee are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are needed, especially weekdays. Call Sr. Francis: 216-861-5343.

MALACHI  MART Malachi Mart has new extended hours to better serve shoppers after-work and after 12:30 Mass: 10 AM-6 PM, Tuesday through Saturday; 10 AM-2 PM Sunday. Shop at the Mart & help support St. Malachi Center programs!

"PLANET GREEN" Please continue to save empty printer cartridges for the "Planet Green" environmental project. Cartridges will be recycled & refilled. They may be dropped off at the church or rectory.
