A CALL TO VIBRANT PARISH LIFE

Vibrant Parish Life

"I ask that each pastor, staff and pastoral council begin to consider the needs of an area broader and wider than the traditional territory of the parish. Likewise, these parish leaders must consider the gifts that their individual parish can offer to that same surrounding area. The goal of this re-visioning will be the collaborative use of resources and personnel, the combining of gifts and creativity, and the building up of and just distribution of parish life so that all peoples are exposed to the fullest expression of Church life and ministry." Bishop Anthony M. Pilla. You can learn more about Bishop Pilla' Vibrant Parish Life pastoral letter & initiative at the Vibrant Parish Life web site.

ALL SAINTS DAY Friday is All Saints Day honoring both those who are formally canonized & those known to God alone. Vigil Mass is Thursday at 5:30; Friday Masses are 7:00 & 12:00 Noon.  Note: There is NO NOON Mass on Thursday.
ALL SOULS MASSES

Saturday, November 2, is All Souls Day. We will have the Memorial Mass of Remembrance, as we especially remember those who were buried at St. Malachi this past year, at 10 AM, followed by Brunch in the hall.

VIBRANT PARISH LIFE SURVEY

Vibrant Parish Life calls each parish to engage people to identify its gifts & areas of vibrancy, and name areas where they seek greater vibrancy. Two years ago, we did this through the St. Malachi Looks to the Future process. Now, the VPL Coordinating Committee is asking that we listen again to update what we learned in St. Malachi Looks to the Future. Next weekend we will conduct a survey at all the Masses; we ask you to participate.
