PENTECOST  We celebrate Pentecost, the birthday of the Church and the outpouring of the Spirit. Let us pray for the Spirit's wisdom, strength and guidance for our Church and our world. The Easter Season concludes with Pentecost. The Lectionary resumes with the readings for the 7th Week of Ordinary Time, Year II (Weekday), Cycle A (Sunday).
FR. CHRIS WEBER Congratulations to Fr. Chris Weber, who was ordained with his classmates Fr. Vince Hawk & Fr. Zach Kowalek ordained Saturday, May 18. Fr. Weber will celebrate the 4:30 PM Mass on Saturday, June 1 at St. Malachi.
RELIGIOUS ED CLASSES At St. Malachi, religious education classes for children & teens is coordinated through the Community of St.  Malachi. Registration for fall classes is underway now; registrations are due June 1. You may pick up the forms at the rectory or by calling Karen Duffy at (440) 331-5289 or Mary Carol Lucic at (216) 221-5017
ANNUAL CATHOLIC CHARITIES APPEAL The parish appeal phase of the Catholic Charities campaign continues this week. Catholic Charities provides health & human services to 600,000 people in Northeast Ohio, Your support is needed! If you have not contributed in another phase of the campaign, please pick up a donation/pledge envelope at the door of the church & return it in the collection or to the Rectory. You can also donate on-line at www.clevelandcatholiccharities.org
50th WED. COUPLES The Diocesan celebration for couples celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary (i.e. married in 1952) is Sunday, July 28th at 2 PM at St. John Cathedral. Please call the rectory (216) 861-5343 so we can send your reservation.
MALACHI CENTER RAFFLE St. Malachi Center's annual benefit raffle is next Monday, Memorial Day, May 27. Tickets are still available at church or rectory The raffle supports Center programs & activities. Main prize is $ 10,000; tickets are $20, with 2.500 tickets printed.
JUBILEE CELEBRATION This Tuesday is the annual diocesan Mass celebrating the 25th, 40th 50th & 60th Jubilees of diocesan & religious order priests. The Mass is at 11 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Gates Mills. All are welcome to attend.

CHARITY OF MONTH During May, we are again collecting for the residents of Malachi House: coupons for fast food places (e.g. Burger King, McDonalds, Taco Bell, etc.), VHS movies (no R rated!), Pepsi & Coke, hard candy, nail polish & remover, markers & crayons. Items can be placed in the box at the front of the church.

SUPPORT WELCOME

A meal without cost is served to the needy on Mondays at 6 PM in the parish hall. Doughnuts, sandwiches, and coffee are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are welcome (216-861-5343).
