HOME MISSION APPEAL The Catholic Home Missions Appeal was established by our Catholic bishops to Strengthen the Church at Home by supporting mission dioceses, organizations & religious institutions who provide vital ministry to impoverished  areas in the U.S.  There will be a second collection at all Masses this weekend.

ST. MALACHI CENTER RAFFLE St. Malachi Center’s annual benefit raffle supports Center programs & activities. The drawing is May 27, Memorial Day. ASSISI RETREAT West Side Ecumenical Ministry is sponsoring a retreat led by Sr. Judy Cole CSJ, to Assisi, Italy and Rome in October, 2002. The focus of this spiritual journey will be on St. Francis and his ministries and the relevance of his ministries to our society today. EAGLE SCOUT Congratulations to Bryan Kennard of St. Malachi and Eddie Nelson who often attends St. Malachi. Both received the rank of Eagle at a Court of Honor on April 20. Both are members of Troop 98. Well done, Scouts!
LENTEN OUTREACH THANKS Due to the generous donations of all who gave from their hearts for our Lenten Outreach Project for Fr. King and the people of Teotopeque, El Salvador, many shoes will be purchased in order that the children may attend school, and many churches of that area will be repaired. The amount being sent to Fr. King is $8,048. Thank you! 

HOPE & HEALING

Please mark your calendars for Next Sunday, May 5.  A Diocesan Prayer Service  for comfort, healing and hope in the face of the current church crisis will be held at St. John Cathedral, E.9th & Superior at 7 PM. Bishop Pilla, along with others, will officiate. Free parking is available in the garage off Rockwell.

OPEN DOOR WALK

The Open Door Maternity Home, a safe and loving, Christ-centered environment for young women facing crisis pregnancies, will be holding their annual “Walk for Family, Walk for Life” event on Saturday, May 11 at 10 AM at the Welsh Woods Metroparks site in Euclid.
