OCTAVE OF EASTER

The Church celebrates Easter Day all this week -- Sunday to Sunday -- with great solemnity and joy. The Easter season continues for fifty days, until the great feast of Pentecost.
EASTER BOOKLETS Please take the Easter reflection booklet Living Stones (based on the daily Scripture readings of the Easter season) which can be found at the doors of the church. Please take one home with you!
Vibrant Parish Life

Attached to today’s bulletin is a letter from Bishop Pilla about his Vibrant Parish Life pastoral letter & initiative; on the back is an outline summary of the pastoral letter. In the coming months, you will be hearing more about this diocesan-wide effort to strengthen ministry in all parishes & deepen cooperative relationships between parishes

CONFIRMATION St. Malachi will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on Tuesday, April 30 at St. Wendelin Church. Adults and teenagers who have not yet been confirmed, please contact Fr. Tony (216-861-5343) to begin preparation.

EUCHARIST MINISTERS

Parishioners who are interested in becoming Eucharistic Ministers are asked to contact Fr. Tony (216-861-5343) by April 1st. Requirements: at least 18 years old, Confirmed, Catholic in good standing. Training in April.

TUTORS NEEDED

Urban Community School is looking for adult volunteers to tutor elementary students in Reading and Math for the After-School Tutoring Program, Tuesday or Thursday, 2:30-4:30 PM. Contact Patty Schlecht 216-861-4706.

Angle Drawing after 12:30 Mass; proceeds for building maintenance. Tickets available in vestibule.
2. Easter Monday: City Year, 9 AM - 3 PM, Monday - Friday, youth camp, in the school
Meal for the poor, 6:00 PM in the parish hall
Circle of Prayer for needs of Parish, Community & individuals, 7 PM in church, all welcome
3. Easter Wednesday: Quiet prayer before the Eucharist,7-8:00 PM in church, all welcome
Parish Council meeting, 6:30 PM in the Center, food at 6:00
4. Easter Thursday: Eucharistic Holy Hour for peace at 11:00 AM; Mass at Noon.
5. Easter Saturday: Children's Choir rehearsal, 2 PM in the church, all children 7+ welcome
6. Second Sunday (Octave) of Easter: Coffee Hour after 9:30 Mass in the Hall

SUPPORT WELCOME

A meal without cost is served to the needy on Mondays at 6 PM in the parish hall. Doughnuts, sandwiches, and coffee are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are needed, especially weekdays. Call Sr. Francis: 216-861-5343.

UCS OPENINGS

Kindergarten screening for Urban Community School, year 2002-2003, will be April 8 & 9. Screening for grades 1-6 will be May 15. Call Randi Allard, Admissions Director (216) 658-4708.

ST. MALACHI CENTER RAFFLE

St. Malachi Center's annual benefit raffle supports Center programs & activities. The drawing is May 27, Memorial Day. Main prize is $10,000; tickets are $20, with 2,500 tickets printed.
