COMMUNAL PENANCE You are invited to attend the final Communal Penance Service in our area, next Sunday, Palm Sunday, March 24, 2 PM at St. Wendelin. Several priests will be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
BAKERY NEEDED There is a reception and celebration after the Easter Vigil honoring those who are newly received into the church.  Bakery is needed and may be brought to the Hall before the Vigil. Call Terry Jungquist (440) 835-2152.
EASTERN EUROPE

This weekend is the annual appeal for the Church in Eastern Europe. This collection funds nearly 1,200 projects in 22 Central & Eastern European countries. There will be a second collection at all the Masses.

DECORATE CHURCH

Help is needed during Holy Week to decorate the church: Wednesday, March 27 from 5 - 7 PM to prepare for Holy Thursday and on Good Friday, March 29 after services (about 4:30 PM) to decorate for Easter.

DAY NEEDS
On Holy Thursday, we celebrate Christ’s call to serve one another. At Holy Thursday Mass, we will be collecting men’s socks, T-shirts and underwear for the Backdoor Ministry. Large & Extra-Large sizes are especially needed.

LENTEN OUTREACH PROJECT FOR EL SALVADOR
    
Almsgiving

Our Lenten outreach project will provide shoes for children & assist with church repairs in villages served by Fr. John King of our Diocesan Mission Team in Teotopeque, El Salvador. We ask each individual & family to choose a daily sacrifice, perhaps $.50 or $1 per day & donate the money saved. Special envelopes are available at the church doors & can be returned in the collection basket. Please make checks payable to St. Malachi Benefit Fund.

EUCHARIST MINISTERS

Parishioners who are interested in becoming Eucharistic Ministers are asked to contact Fr. Tony (216-861-5343) by April 1st. Requirements: at least 18 years old, Confirmed, Catholic in good standing. Training in April.

TUTORS NEEDED

Urban Community School is looking for adult volunteers to tutor elementary students in Reading and Math for the After-School Tutoring Program, Tuesday or Thursday, 2:30-4:30 PM. Contact Patty Schlecht 216-861-4706.

SUPPORT WELCOME

A meal without cost is served to the needy on Mondays at 6 PM in the parish hall. Doughnuts, sandwiches, and coffee are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are needed, especially weekdays. Call Sr. Francis: 216-861-5343.

MALACHI CENTER RAFFLE

St. Malachi Center's annual benefit raffle supports Center programs & activities. The drawing is Memorial Day, May 27. Main prize is $10,000; tickets are $20, with 2,500 tickets printed.
