COMMUNAL PENANCE You are invited to attend the final Communal Penance Service in our area, next Sunday, Palm Sunday, March 24, 2 PM at St. Wendelin. Several priests will be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
S. MAUREEN HONORED Congratulations to Sr. Maureen Doyle, the Director of Urban Community School, who is being honored today, St. Patrick Day, with the Irish Good Fellowship Award for her contribution to Northeast Ohio!
LENTEN OUTREACH PROJECT FOR EL SALVADOR
    
Almsgiving

Our Lenten outreach project will provide shoes for children & assist with church repairs in villages served by Fr. John King of our Diocesan Mission Team in Teotopeque, El Salvador. We ask each individual & family to choose a daily sacrifice, perhaps $.50 or $1 per day & donate the money saved. Special envelopes are available at the church doors & can be returned in the collection basket. Please make checks payable to St. Malachi Benefit Fund.

EASTERN EUROPE

Next weekend is the annual appeal for the Church in Eastern Europe. This collection funds nearly 1,200 projects in 22 Central & Eastern European countries. There will be a second collection at all the Masses.

EUCHARIST MINISTERS

Parishioners who are interested in becoming Eucharistic Ministers are asked to contact Fr. Tony (216-861-5343) by April 1st. Requirements: at least 18 years old, Confirmed, Catholic in good standing. Training in April.

YOUNG FAMILIES' FISH FRIES

During Lent, families with young children are invited to join S.M.A.R.T. (St. Malachi Adults Raising Toddlers) for Lenten fish fries, Fridays at 6 PM. Bring your own chair/booster & child drink. March 22: Blessed Sacrament Church, 3381 Fulton Rd. Info: Carol/Michael Pellegrino 216-351-8553.

PREPARE CHURCH

Your help is welcome and needed on Wednesday, March 27, from 5-7:00 PM and also Good Friday, March 29 at 4:30 PM as we prepare the church for the Triduum and Easter services. Light refreshments will be served.

TUTORS NEEDED

Urban Community School is looking for adult volunteers to tutor elementary students in Reading and Math for the After-School Tutoring Program, Tuesday or Thursday, 2:30-4:30 PM. Contact Patty Schlecht 216-861-4706.

CONFIRMATION

St. Malachi will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on Tuesday, April 30 at St. Wendelin Church. Adults and teenagers who have not yet been confirmed, please contact Fr. Tony (216) 861-5343 to begin preparation.

A meal without cost is served to the needy on Mondays at 6 PM in the parish hall. Doughnuts, sandwiches, and coffee are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are needed, especially weekdays. Call Sr. Francis: 216-861-5343.

MALACHI CENTER RAFFLE

St. Malachi Center's annual benefit raffle supports Center programs & activities. The drawing is Memorial Day, May 27. Main prize is $10,000; tickets are $20, with 2,500 tickets printed.
