COMMUNAL PENANCE Lent is a special time of repentance and conversion. You are invited to come to our Communal Penance Service on Tuesday, March 5, at 7 PM at St. Malachi. Several priests will be availabe for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
LENTEN OUTREACH PROJECT FOR EL SALVADOR
    
Almsgiving

During Lent, we have established an outreach project to provide shoes for children & assist with church repairs in the villages served by Fr. John King of our Diocesan Mission Team in Teotopeque, El Salvador. We ask each individual & family to make a daily sacrifice of their choice, perhaps $.50 or $1 per day & donate the money saved. Special envelopes are available at the church doors; they can be returned in the collection basket. Please make checks payable to St. Malachi Benefit Fund; 100% of all funds will be sent to El Salvador.

MALACHI RUN 

The 22nd Annual St. Malachi Run will be held Saturday, March 16. Start times: 2 Mile: 9 AM, 5 Mile: 9:35 AM. Pre-registration $14; race day $17. Registration forms at rectory or call Hermes Race System 623-9933.

YOUNG FAMILIES' FISH FRIES

During Lent, families with young children are invited to join S.M.A.R.T. (St. Malachi Adults Raising Toddlers) for Lenten fish fries, Fridays at 6 PM. Bring your own chair/booster & child drink. CONFIRMATION

St. Malachi will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on Tuesday, April 30 at St. Wendelin Church. Adults and teenagers who have not yet been confirmed, please contact Fr. Tony (216) 861-5343 to begin preparation.

ST. PAT’S BENEFIT DRAWING

The Annual Restoration Fund Drawing of St. Patrick Church, Bridge Ave., is held St. Patrick's Day, March 17.  1st Prize: $10,000; Donation: $20. Only 2,500 tickets printed. Tickets available at St. Malachi church & rectory.

PRISON MINISTRY

Inspirational books and pamphlets are being collected for the diocesan prison ministry to be distributed to the inmates who are visited weekly. Bring them to the rectory or place in the container by the Blessed Virgin statue.

GROUP
A Caregiver Support Group, sponsored by the Benjamin Rose Institute, will be held the third Thursday of each month at St. Patrick Rectory from 1:30-3:00 PM, to help adults who are caring for loved ones. For more information, Contact Sandy Brooker, 216-791-8000.
