PRAYING FOR PEACE Pope John Paul II has asked all people to pray for peace this Thursday, January 24. The Holy Father will lead a prayer service with representatives of many faiths in Assisi.
CHRISTIAN UNITY OCTAVE The Octave of Prayer for Christian Unity continues through Friday. We pray for healing within the Christian family, praying with Jesus "that they may be one." All are invited to an inter-religious dialogue next Sunday, Jan. 27, 3-6 PM, at the Hillel Foundation, 11291 Euclid Ave on how faiths view their responsibility for the community.
ISLAM LECTURES

The series on Islam, consisting of lecture and discussion, continues Sunday, from 6:30 - 8:00 PM at St. Patrick Parish Hall (Club Building) & will conclude January 27. The program will be led by Mike Petit of St. Malachi.

CAREGIVER
SUPPORT
GROUP
A Caregiver Support Group, sponsored by the Benjamin Rose Institute, will be held the third Thursday of each month at St. Patrick Rectory from 1:30-3:00 PM, to help adults who are caring for loved ones. For more information, Contact Sandy Brooker, 216-791-8000.
SPECIAL THANKS Special thanks to the many people who made our Christmas celebration at St. Malachi so special: cleaners & decorators (including the faithful people who helped take everything down last week), musicians & singers, liturgy planners & coordinators and all participants! Many thanks also for your Christmas cards, greetings, "goodies" and other gifts to Fr. Tony and the rectory staff. They are much appreciated!!
"SOUP FOR THE SOUL" BENEFIT St. Malachi Center's 2nd annual Soup for the Soul benefit is Thursday, February 28, 6:30-10:30 PM at Brennan's  Party Center. Tickets are $30. VALENTINE DANCE Our annual parish Valentine Dance will be Saturday, February 9, 7 PM - Midnight. Tickets are $14 per person; beer & pop provided. Tickets in the back of church or call Kathleen's Kitchen 941-4357.
MEETINGS WORKSHOP  Dave DeLambo of the Diocesan Pastoral Planning Office is offering a workshop Conducting Effective Meetings on Saturday, January 26, from 9-11 AM at St. Malachi Center. Anyone who attends or leads meetings will benefit!

"SPEAKING OUR FAITH"

Join with people of faith from the city of Cleveland for an inter-religious dialogue, Speaking Our Faith, on January 27, from 3-6 PM at the Hillel Foundation, 11291 Euclid Ave. The theme will be "Community Responsibility" with a panel presentation and small group discussion. A light supper will be served (minimal charge). Reservations are required by January 23; call Cynthia 216-361-5890

PRISON MINISTRY Inspirational books and pamphlets are being collected for our prison ministry to distribute to the inmates, who are visited weekly by Drew McAuliffe. Please bring them to the rectory or place in the container near the creche.

ASSISTIVE LISTENING SYSTEM St. Malachi Church now has an Assistive Listening Device available for our hearing-impaired parishioners. It can be used with head phones or a loop (available in sacristy).
