PENANCE |
Our Advent Communal Penance Service
is this Sunday, December 16, at 2 PM at St. Patrick Church. Several priests
will serve as confessors. You are invited to come & be reconciled during
this Advent Season.

ADVENT SERIES |
The final session of our Advent
Series, "Christmas - An
Adult Perspective," will be this Sunday, December 9, with prayer,
reflection & small group discussion on the Christmas Gospels. The presenter
is Mary Jane Treichel.

WORD AND SONG |
Please join us with our neighborhood friends from 5-5:15 PM,
before the Monday Night Meal, for our last prayer service with Gospel Music in
church. This service has been a beautiful sharing of our love for God and each
other.
|
|
|
|
DECORATE CHURCH
|
All are invited to join in decorating the Church for the
Christmas season this Wednesday at 6:30 PM and next Sunday, following the 12:30
Mass. Many hands are needed and all are welcome! Refreshments will be served.

|
|
| CHRISTMAS CAROLING
|
All members of St. Malachi are invited to gather for
Christmas caroling this Sunday at 5 PM at St. Paul Community Church, 4427
Franklin. There will be Christmas caroling at St. Herman's shelter, two nursing
homes and Malachi House. The
evening ends with a social at Franklin Circle Church, 1688 Fulton.

|
Many thanks for the generous response & wonderful spirit
bringing almost 400 fruit baskets to Lakeview and Riverview Hi-Rises last
Sunday! The response was beautiful -- Parish & Community, individuals &
families (the seniors loved seeing children!), couples, teens & seniors!

MINISTRY
|
We are asking for inspirational
books or pamphlets for the prison inmates who are visited on a weekly
basis by Drew McAuliffe. Please bring them to the rectory or place in the
container by our creche in church.

| ASSISTIVE
LISTENING SYSTEM
|
St. Malachi Church now has an assistive listening device
available for our hearing-impaired parishioners. This system can be used with
head phones (available in sacristy) or a loop. For those interested, a personal
ear bud will also be supplied by Norm Bringman. For additional
information, talk to Fr. Tony or call Norm at 440-333-0606.
