THANKS-
GIVING

Thursday, November 22, is Thanksgiving, a national day for prayer & reflection thanking God for our blessings, individually & communally. All are welcome to join the Community of St. Malachi for Mass Wednesday night at 7:30 PM or Thanksgiving morning at 9 AM. This Thanksgiving, let us praise God, giver of all blessings!

CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN  DEVELOPMNT

This weekend is the 31st Annual Catholic Campaign for Human Development Appeal to promote peace and justice by supporting self-help projects. Our diocese is redoubling its efforts to fund programs that break the cycle of poverty in our communities and offer a sense of security. There will be a second collection at all Masses.

"THE HOLY LONGING"

Sunday, November 18, Fr. Tony and Fr. Jim O’Donnell will participate in a large group discussion of Ronald Rolheiser’s book "The Holy Longing: The Search for a Christian Spirituality." All are welcome to attend even if you have not read the book. The facilitators will be Mary Jane Treichel, Lou Keim and Carole Dlouhy.

ADVENT SERIES

Mark your calendars for our Advent Series, "Christmas - An Adult Perspective
Sundays, December 2, 9 and 16 from 7-8:30 PM, presented by Mary Jane Treichel. Prayer, reflection and small group discussion on aspects of the Gospels of Christmas: Matthew 1 & 2 and Luke 1 & 2.

Malachi Mart

Malachi Mart is ready for Christmas gifting with gifts, cards, wraps, and decorations all at very reasonable prices. Hours: Mon. thru Sat. 10-5, Sunday 10-1:30. All proceeds benefit the programs of St. Malachi Center. Volunteers are needed to help mark & stock goods and assist customers. If you can help, call Bonnie at 216-621-1988.

CENTER HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE

St. Malachi Center needs new or "like new" gift items for mothers, fathers, teens, children & toddlers for the annual children's Christmas Boutique on Wednesday, December 12. Volunteers are also needed to assist children in gift selection & wrapping. Please bring gift items to the Center by December 11. Call Cathy 216-771-3036

MNT BOOKS

St. Malachi Center has Entertainment 2002 books available in West Side & East Side editions in the back of church, in the rectory, at coffee hour and at the Center. Cost is $30. For info, call Cathy Saegel (216) 771-3036.

WENDELIN BOUTIQUE

This Sunday, November 4, is St. Wendelin's Annual Christmas Boutique from 10 AM - 4 PM featuring handmade crafts, pastries, candy, and wonderful food. Refreshments, children's corner, raffle.

SUPPORT WELCOME

A meal without cost is served to the needy on Mondays at 6 PM in the parish hall. Doughnuts, sandwiches, and coffee are served daily at the rectory. Volunteers are needed, especially weekdays. Call Sr. Francis 216-861-5343.

WANTED: HELP FOR MART Malachi Mart supports the ministry of St. Malachi Center. The Mart is always looking for volunteers,  to assist in every way.
